Location: Dartford or Stowmarket

?Due to expansion we have a vacancy within the compliance team of our Infrastructure Services business.  The team works on behalf of our major client to ensure there compliance with regulations governing issues such as asbestos and legionella risk.  The key purpose of this role is the programming, management and analysis of a number of compliance tasks and the resulting actions, including site visits, contractor management and client liaison.

Main Duties:

  • Working with the companies work and compliance management tools, take an overview of work activities to be completed and co-ordinate use of all resources including people, materials and equipment to program and deliver work in an effective and timely manner.  This may require working with Field / Project managers, the client, subcontractors and members of the public;
  • Review incoming data from compliance inspections, assess for any actions required and liaise with relevant contractors, client and site teams to process a suitable, costed solution. This will involve visiting site to establish safe methods of work and to assess potential impacts of the work on client and other stakeholders;
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, the standards, policies and procedures of Freedom Group and its customers; 
  • Develop and maintain own competence in accordance with legislation and customer requirements;
  • Provide immediate, authoritative, guidance and discipline on SHE matters. Ensuring that all work conforms to Freedom Group’s SHE policy and issued safety instructions.


  • Current driving licence;
  • Strong IT literacy;
  • Good Organisational skills;
  • Health & Safety awareness;
  • Experience in project or compliance management;
  • Knowledge of building compliance legislation.


  • Experience of working in an electrical or contracting environment;
  • First aid at work;
  • Compliance qualifications, eg. BOHS P405, P900/1;
  • Construction safety / skills qualifications eg. NRSWA, IOSH.?
