Location: Stowmarket

Due to internal promotion, we are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to act as finance business partner for the Southern Region of our Civil Asset Management business.

The main duties will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts;
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with the preparation of forecasts and budgets;
  • Monthly balance sheet and contract costing reconciliations;
  • Finance Support to key Southern Contracts;
  • Attendance at Project Reviews; 
  • Key point of contact for the Southern Management Team;
  • Ad-hoc reporting / queries as required by Divisional Financial Controller and by Southern Operational and Commercial Teams;
  • Assisting Operations with working capital management and improving existing processes. 

Requirements for the position:

  • Previous experience in an industry finance role and looking for advancement;
  • AAT Qualified, or equivalent;
  • CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting (Operational Level); or ACCA Fundamentals level completed;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivate and self-learn;
  • Previous experience with contract accounting would be desirable.
