Location: Wakefield

We have an exciting new opportunity within our Work Winning team for a Business Development Coordinator / Sales Administrator.  The successful applicant will report to our COO and work closely with Divisional Managing Directors to maintain client relationship management processes, customer account plans and customer information data as well as coordinating all information on work winning and business development.

The main duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Implement best practice and fit for purpose innovative processes for sales pipeline management;
  • Maintain the customer relationship management system;
  • Maintain core systems and database to support a best in class work winning process;
  • Monitor market and competitor activities and provide relevant statistics, reports and data;
  • Review customer portfolio and identify combined BU offering;
  • Maintain Business Development plans;
  • Identifying issues and areas for improvement, proposing recommendations and implementing solutions;
  • Assisting with the preparation of competitive tenders in times of peak activity;

The successful candidate should:

  • Have previous experience in a Sales Administration or Business Development coordination role, gained in an engineering or construction related environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate a natural talent for problem solving and have perseverance to identify and explore every option;
  • Possess a high level of numeracy and demonstrate excellent communications skills;
  • Have excellent organisational, planning and time management skills and will have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on standards and delivering to deadlines;
  • Will know how to handle market intelligence and other commercial information in addition to an awareness of business acumen;
  • Be self driven, motivated, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Ideally have a degree in a business management or sales & marketing related discipline.

This is a great opportunity to develop and perform a key role within the business and will require substantial nationwide travel.
