Location: Wakefield

?We are looking to add to our existing IT Support team by recruiting an experienced 1st Line Support Engineer to work in our Wakefield head office.

Main purpose of the role;

To provide support in your area of expertise to Freedom’s internal systems and external client base, both individually and as a team member. To assist with the development and support of your team as well as Freedom’s systems, services, solutions and intellectual property.

Duties include;

  • Provide technical support services to the Freedom Group in line with established process and policies.
  • Support a variety of client contracts including mobile devices & PDA along with emerging technologies in line with new business.
  • Provide technical support to the business upon request, including the evaluation new products and software solutions;
  • Ensure that all user systems are maintained in line with process and update requirements.
  • Assist in the service improvements in conjunction with time constraints to maintain performance and maximise asset lifespan.
  • Assist in the development of the necessary documentation for the accreditation of solutions relating to Freedom’s portfolio
  • Attend internal team meetings in order to outline areas were you/the team can assist with solutions to increase 1st time fix rates and increase team knowledge..
  • Effectively manage high priority incidents, providing effective business communications when applicable.
  • Provide support to external clients in line with SLA's, KPI's and customer expectations.
  • Ensure clients are kept informed regularly of the status of their support request;
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date database of all clients for which Freedom is to provide Telephone Support;
  • Update the support database with the status of Clients’ support requests.
  • Work with the Clients to arrange relevant upgrades and solutions for clients as required.

Skills and Experience required;

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting: Windows 7/10 endpoints; Windows Server 2008/12/16; Active Directory; MS Office 2010; Citrix Xenapp 6 environment; Printers; DHCP/DNS; Android/IOS handheld support; MDM experience ideally SOTI/Mobileiron; WIFI support ideally Meraki; HP Networking(LAN/WAN); WSUS/SCCM/Endpoint Protection
  • Possess an understanding of industry best practise, ITIL & Information Security
  • Self-motivated with good written, oral and customer/colleague interfacing skills.
  • Quality driven as well as understand and comply with the need for a qualitative approach throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications desired;

  • Be of graduate level calibre in a relevant discipline.
  • A full UK/EU Driving License
  • Membership of relevant professional institutes.
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • Comptia N+/A+ Certification
  • Cisco CCNA Certification
